The focal point features tiny, beautifully distinct baby opossum vertebrae. It is a heartbreaking reality that when a female opossum is struck by a vehicle, her protected pouch can still contain living babies. This incredibly rare, tender specimen was salvaged after a mother was tragically lost on the road, allowing us to gently recover and honor the tiny lives left behind—transforming a moment of hidden roadside loss into a legacy of enduring beauty. Flanking the delicate bone are two traditional white coin beads, each bearing the classic, watchful Evil Eye motif to ward off negative energy.
 
Working with neonatal specimens requires an exceptionally soft, master-level touch. Because these tiny pouch-baby bones are so remarkably fragile and tender, our in-studio processing must be adapted with extreme care. Hand-flushed, meticulously macerated, degreased, and sanitized over months in our studio, we ensure these delicate structures are perfectly preserved and strengthened without losing their intricate, natural detail. You receive a pure, hyper-hygienic piece of fine bone jewelry with an unbroken chain of custody.

The Loom/Build: A perfectly balanced vertical stack where the organic symmetry of the tiny vertebra sits nestled between two flat 8mm x 3mm white glass evil eye coin beads.
The Hardware: Premium, high-quality .925 rose gold-plated French-style ear wires, offering a secure, hypoallergenic fit for sensitive skin.
