The Story 💀
True luxury lies in the balance of ancient earth history and mindful creation. These vibrant statement earrings showcase genuine, patella-shaped "Tilly bones" hyperostotic specimens sustainably salvaged from Crevalle Jack harvested for food. Rather than letting these fascinating, sculpted structures go to waste, we have curated them into premium wearable conservation.
To complement their distinctive, wing-like ivory shape, each bone is nestled between high-contrast, zebra-striped Dzi agate focal beads and finished with a rich drop of translucent orange and red Carnelian. It’s an exquisite fusion of oceanic architecture and premium, color-blocked gemstones that makes a powerful addition to any serious collector's wardrobe.
The Composition
The Specimen: Genuine Crevalle Jack hyperostotic bones (familiarly known as Tilly bones), ethically salvaged from food harvests.
The Palette: Stark ivory bone framed by striking orange-and-white patterned Dzi agate, anchored by the fiery warmth of orange-red Carnelian drops and bright silver metalwork.
The Gems: Premium, barrel-cut patterned Dzi agate beads paired with highly polished Carnelian rounds, selected for their superb depth and quality.
The Engineering: Masterfully stacked on solid headpins and suspended from comfortable, high-polish .925 silver-plated fish hook findings.
The Profile: A balanced, tactile vertical drop design measuring exactly 2.5 inches from the top of the hook to the base of the gemstone drop.
Style & Wear
Bold, artistic, and entirely original. The 2.5 inch drop length provides a dramatic, jawline-framing sway that catches the light beautifully, making them an instant conversation starter. The contrast of the monochrome Dzi agate against the warmth of the Carnelian allows these earrings to pair effortlessly with sleek black ensembles, crisp summer whites, or rich autumnal tones. They carry the spirit of the ocean and the energy of the earth in one lightweight, incredibly comfortable design.
