These Florida Longnose Garfish Scale hoop earrings with mini pearls IS that design. The pearls pickup on the iridescent shimmer of the garfish scales and vice versa. They are fun and a great conversation starter. Who knew that garfish scales were so beautiful?
Native Americans used the scales of the gar as arrowheads, native Caribbeans used the skin for breastplates, and early American pioneers covered the blades of their plows in gar skin. These scales are really tough and sharp. Watch the hugs when you wear these. Perfect for a casual day or a night out. Don't forget to add a rubber clutch to the hook so you don't loose them.
The hoops measure 1 inch and the earring is finished off with sterling silver fish hook findings. Also available in gold with 14K finding. We can meke them with or with out the pearls and we also offer different size pearls. Add a note with your order.

When not in use, keep item in its original packaging. Made from natural animal bones which tend to patina with time.
To clean: For light cleaning of make up or dirt, use square nail buffer of fine grit. For heavily soiled bones, wash with dishwashing soap and a toothbrush. Let sit out in the sun to dry.
