Part of the Red Thread Fish Scale Collection, these earrings highlight pure organic movement and light-catching structure. Inspired by European metalsmithing and post-Brazil creative expansion, this pair transforms handcrafted wirework and ethically cured natural elements into airy, high-fashion statement drops.
Each earring features a hand-formed teardrop hoop crafted from premium 20-gauge non-tarnish wire, finished with a custom hand-wound double wire bail. Threaded along the curve are translucent fish scale "petals"—patiently degreased and cured in the studio since 2023—interspersed with size 6/0 crimson glass seed beads that allow the scales to dance and catch light with every movement.  Â
The Composition
The Focal Elements: Hand-shaped wire teardrop hoops with custom coiled double bails.  Â
Accents & Beadwork:Â 3-year cured translucent fish scale petals loosely threaded with size 6/0 vibrant red glass seed beads.
Hardware & Findings: Doubled 18k gold-plated jump rings attached to 22x11mm $ 18k gold-plated brass French ear wires. Crafted using non-tarnish, gold-colored fine silver-plated 20-gauge wire.     Â
