The "Heritage" earrings are a deeply personal design, representing the bridge between two artistic worlds. By taking the sleek, architectural radius bones of a locally salvaged raccoon and "sewing" vibrant seed and bugle beads directly through the bone, we’ve created a piece that is as much a textile sculpture as it is jewelry.
This design brings a "previous life" of intricate seed bead weaving into the current mission of the Bone Boutique. Using light blue, green, and yellow seed beads interspersed with bugle beads, the bone is transformed into a loom. This labor-intensive process highlights the natural marrow-cavity structure of the radius, turning a salvaged roadside specimen into a colorful, high-fashion statement.
🌿 The Salvage Story
Like much of our work, these bones were ethically salvaged from local North Port area roads. Through our signature multi-year curation process, the bones are degreased and whitened to a Grade A museum finish, ensuring they are as pristine as they are durable.

The Specimen: Matching pair of reclaimed Raccoon Radius bones (forearm).
The Beadwork: Hand-sewn light blue, yellow, and green glass seed beads and bugle beads.
Findings: 16mm x 27mm Titanium French-style hooks—perfect for sensitive ears and long-lasting wear.
Hardware: A tiered 9mm to 6mm silver-toned jump ring connection for a fluid swing.
Dimensions: A dramatic 4 ½ inch total drop.
Feel: Lightweight and structural, designed to move gracefully with the wearer.
These earrings represent the "Art of the Pivot." They show how we can take the pieces of our past—our skills, our history, and even salvaged remains—and weave them together into something vibrant, new, and full of life.

Damaged Items: If your item arrives damaged due to our packaging or shipping, we will gladly offer a full refund or replacement, upon verification with photos of the damage. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at michele@boneboutique.biz.
Change of Mind: While we cannot offer returns on sculptures due to their delicate nature, we understand that unforeseen circumstances might occur. If you decide you no longer want a sculpture after receiving it, we encourage you to contact us within 7 days. We may be able to offer a store credit, depending on the specific item and its condition.
