The Story
Salvaged from a Florida roadside rescue, these pelvic bones are the rare survivors of a collision that usually claims the entire specimen. Because of their dense structure, it has taken several years of patient degreasing and whitening to achieve this perfect, slightly patinaed finish. In a true marriage of my two creative lives, I have woven these bones with seed beads from my personal collection—some of which I have curated and held onto for over 30 years.
The Composition
The Bone: Two curated softshell turtle pelvic bones, meticulously processed over a multi-year period to ensure structural integrity and a clean, ivory patina.
The Loom: Intricate seed beadwork from a 30-year legacy collection, hand-woven directly through the anatomical openings of the bone using professional jewelry wire and finished with secure crimps.
The Hardware: Engineered with a tiered jump ring design (12mm and 9mm) to provide fluid movement and a dramatic silhouette.
The Finding: 925 silver-plated circle lever-backs for a secure, comfortable fit.

If you decide you no longer want a sculpture after receiving it, we encourage you to contact us within 7 days. We may be able to offer a store credit, depending on the specific item and its condition.
