The Story
Forget what you think you know about Florida wildlife. These earrings take the "band" portion of a salvaged armadillo's armor and flip it on its side—literally. By drilling through the profile of the bone rather than the face, I’ve created a high-fashion, zigzag silhouette that feels more like avant-garde sculpture than traditional jewelry. It’s "Art Basel" energy met with North Port grit. Like all my armadillo pieces, these are salvaged from roadside rescues, giving a second, much more glamorous life to a creature often overlooked.
The Composition
The Bone: Hand-selected armadillo scute bands, meticulously cleaned and whitened to highlight their natural, porous "lace" pattern.
The Design: An interactive zigzag assembly, drilled laterally to create a 3-inch drop with incredible movement and depth.
The Hardware: Minimalist silver-toned connections that let the natural geometry of the bone do the talking.
The Finding: 925 silver-plated circle lever-backs for a secure, comfortable fit.

These are 3 inches of pure runway style. The side-drilled holes make these earrings incredibly interactive; they catch the light and show off the "natural lace" of the bone from every angle.
