The Story
The Adaptive Curve. In nature, perfection isn’t found in symmetry, but in survival. These earrings feature the delicate ribs of a young American Alligator, salvaged following a roadside accident. Because the animal sustained damage, a traditional "matched set" was impossible—but as a Resurrectionist, I have learned that the story is often found in the fragments others would set aside.
By selecting two ribs from the same side of the animal, we offer a rare, panoramic view of its anatomy. We have oriented the bones so the viewer can witness the organic texture and slight, prehistoric curve from both sides. Adorned with a crisp white paper rose and vibrant green foliage, these pieces are a testament to adaptation. It is a "floral-meets-feral" tribute to a life that was lived, lost, and eventually reclaimed.
The Composition
A bold, unapologetic design that pairs the prehistoric resilience of the alligator with the delicate softness of a Florida bloom.
The Bone: Ethically salvaged American Alligator ribs, hand-cleaned and selected for their unique, same-side curvature and ivory finish.
The Blossom: A hand-sculpted white paper rose with deep green leaf accents—a color palette that "screams Florida."
The Metalwork: Classic .925 silver-plated fishhook findings paired with substantial 8mm silver-plated jump rings for a secure hang.
Length: A sexy, dramatic 3-inch total drop.

By using what nature provided—rather than waiting for a "perfect match"—these earrings represent a transition in my work: finding the "Vavavoom" in the reality of the salvage. Change of Mind: While we cannot offer returns on sculptures due to their delicate nature, we understand that unforeseen circumstances might occur. If you decide you no longer want a sculpture after receiving it, we encourage you to contact us within 7 days. We may be able to offer a store credit, depending on the specific item and its condition.
