The Story đź’€

Transparency, respect, and a strict zero-waste philosophy guide every curation at Bone Boutique. This final piece in our wild boar (Sus scrofa) collection is the smallest of the series, but it carries the most formidable story of survival and raw resilience. Like the others, this specimen was legally trapped on private property as part of local land management and responsibly harvested for food.

What makes this skull an absolute standout is the undeniable evidence of just how tough these animals truly are. It features three distinct, striking ballistic entry marks clustered cleanly across the upper cranium. Rather than allowing this incredible testament to the animal's fierce vitality to be lost, we brought it to the studio bench. It underwent our precise processing methods—meticulously cleaned, sanitized, beautifully whitened, and structurally stabilized to honor the animal's life and preserve this intense history as a permanent work of sculptural art.

The Composition

  • The Specimens: One genuine, legally trapped, and food-harvested wild boar (Sus scrofa) skull featuring three authentic, clustered ballistic entry points.

  • The Palette: Stark, pristine bone white that beautifully highlights the localized impact fractures and natural textures of the cranium.

  • The Anatomy: A compact, incredibly dense skull belonging to a younger but intensely durable specimen. The jawline is beautifully intact, retaining most of its natural teeth, showcasing the sharp, foraging dental structure of the species.

  • The Profile: The most compact and focused skull of the collection, measuring 10 inches in length from the back of the cranium to the tip of the snout, and standing 6 inches tall at its highest point.

Display & Decor

Because of its unique triple-entry marks and compact size, this skull is a phenomenal candidate for up-close, intimate display setups. It sits perfectly on a desk, a low bookshelf, or nested within a glass curiosity cabinet where the details can be inspected right at eye level. It acts as an incredible conversation piece that instantly draws people in to trace the impact marks. Pair it with dark, velvety textures, industrial iron accents, or minimalist concrete surfaces to let the clean white bone and intense narrative take center stage.
