The Goat Vertebrae, Wood & Turquoise Earrings are crafted using vertebrae ethically donated by two generous local farms in Venice, a partnership we are incredibly grateful for, ensuring these animals are honored and their materials repurposed.
The design is bold and detailed, measuring an impressive 3 5/8 inches in total drop:
Earth & Stone: The design begins with a bright 6mm round Turquoise bead, leading to a long, tapered wood tube bead.
Structural Nesting: The fatter end of the wood bead (11mm) rests at the bottom, while the narrower end (9mm) is cleverly used to nestle directly into the center of the large Goat Vertebrae.
Finish: The vertebrae is topped and held firmly in place with a substantial 8mm round Turquoise bead.
The entire assembly is secured by a 9mm jumpring and finished with a durable 16x27mm Titanium earring finding. These earrings are a profound example of Wearable Conservation, combining the beautiful structure of the bone with earthy wood and vivid Turquoise.
