Part of the Red Thread Fish Scale Collection, this pendant necklace marries local treasure hunting with European-inspired structural design. Born out of post-Brazil artistic growth, this piece explores the interplay between intricate metalwork and delicate organic sculpture.
The focal point is an open filigree, mandala-style lattice disc sourced locally from the Bead Abode Store in Sarasota, Florida. Threaded across its textured surface are translucent fish scale blooms—patiently degreased and cured in the studio since 2023—punctuated by vibrant size 6/0 red glass seed beads and anchored with raw red thread work along the back lattice.
