True luxury is sustainable, mindful, and sometimes salvaged right from the "mean streets" of North Port.
This commanding statement piece features a dual-piece Florida soft-shell turtle plastron (the underbelly shell), rescued and reclaimed locally. In nature, these two halves are fused by organic tissue. Over a meticulous, multi-year curation and degreasing process, that tissue naturally clears away, causing the pieces to separate.
Rather than hiding the void or forcing a seamless faux-repair, this design celebrates the beauty of renewal. The two halves have been intentionally "stapled" back together using hand-hammered, heavy 14-gauge copper wire. It is a striking, wearable celebration of choosing to unite what was once broken.
