The Story
In the world of sustainable curation, even the smallest details matter. These earrings feature scutes from the "band" of a nine-banded armadillo, each meticulously drilled with two points of contact. I took inspiration from a structural design I saw on Pinterest and made it my own by adding emerald green embroidery thread to unite the organic bone with a modern, polished triangle. It’s a mix of raw Florida nature and clean, geometric lines.
The Composition
The Bone: Authentic nine-banded armadillo scutes from the band section, curated for a white finish.
The Fiber: Emerald green embroidery thread, providing a textured, high-contrast structural bond.
The Hardware: 1.25" x 1" triangle connectors finished with 18k gold-plated circle stud findings.
Style & Wear
With a 3.5-inch total drop, these earrings offer significant movement and a flamboyant pop of color. They are incredibly lightweight despite their size, making them easy to wear from the studio to a night out.
The Investment
Current Curation Price: $45
The Legacy: Hand-crafted in North Port, Florida. One-of-a-kind wearable conservation.
