Depending on the season, we stage and move anywhere from 30 to 70 trays of bone every single day—chasing the Florida sun to achieve a natural, ivory-white finish without the use of bone-weakening chemicals.
While some pieces are ready in weeks, our rarest and largest specimens can take several years of patient sunning and seasoning before they meet our standards. Depending on the size of the specimen, this final curing can take several more weeks of staging. Sanitization
Think we’re done? Not even close. To meet the Bone Boutique standard for 'wearable conservation,' every specimen must undergo a rigorous sanitization process.
There is only one professional, bone-safe chemical approved for this: Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2).
We’ve evolved our methods since 2017—moving from hairdresser-grade developers to a high-purity swimming pool grade solution. Now we use Food Grade H2O2. We dilute this to ensure a slower, deeper whitening and sterilization cycle. This week-long bath does more than just brighten; it deep-cleans the bone at a molecular level, ensuring that every piece of jewelry or sculpture we produce is as hygienic as it is 'spectacular.' We don’t just want our bones to look clean—we need them to be studio-certified.
